I am going on a trip for my job at the end of the month. On my way back, I will stop by SF to visit my aunt and my new baby cousin. Her pediatrician advised that anyone visiting from abroad should get two vaccinations: flu shot and whopping cough vaccine.
On October 3rd, I went and got the shots.
The next day, I felt sick. I tried to get to work, but ended up throwing up in a gas station bathroom on my way there. I ended up calling in sick.
I had a fever, was queazy and had a massive headache. I called my mom and told her how I was feeling. She asked, "are you sure you're not pregnant?". I had not 'missed' my period and was on birth control, so I told her, "no, I can't be.".
After I got off the phone with her, I checked if I had any HCG tests left. I had one more left.
I did the drill and not even ten seconds later, one faint pink line showed up and one solid pink line showed up shortly afterwards. Holy Moley.
Doubtful and blaming my bad eyesight, I ran to my aunt and asked her, "do you see one line or two?". My aunt, Tita Dora, looked at it and said, "Two. One is really light, but it's two lines." Holy Moley.
I sat in my room for a few minutes, stunned. I looked at the test again, but within those few minutes, the faint pink line, somewhat became brighter, more obvious. I called my husband (who was at work) right away and with tears in my eyes, told him the news. He was happy. Surprised, but happy.
A wave of emotions flooded inside of me. I thank God as he blessed us with another baby on the way.
I'm so happy:).
