April sucks so far.
EJ was sick last week and was admitted into the hospital for almost 3 days. We brought him to the Emergency room because his temp went up to 104 and he seemed to be fading in and out and was shivering. Fever seizure. Scared the shit out of me. He was diagnosed at the hospital with a pneumonia, fever and tonsilitis.
Crazy thing was, 2 hours before bringing him to the hospital, we were getting him checked at his pediatrician's clinic. We were talking about his tonsils. They are naturally big. If it becomes a problem and he becomes sick with a sore throat more than 3 times a year, then we will have to get them taken out.
Kevin and I stayed with him at the hospital. Luckily, we were the only ones in the room. it was a double occupancy room so we each had a fold out chair/bed. They were not comfortable at all. but after all the minimum hours of sleep, nurse rounds, medication, we were relieved to have him released and that he was going to be fine.
Then comes this week. I get sick. grrr.
Tuesday, I start to have a dry cough and as the day progressed, cold sweats and body aches crept up too. I asked to go home. It's Thursday, and i'm still home and feel crappy. At least the body aches have been kept at bay. What sucks is that as the body aches dissipated, what came in its place is a stye in my left eye. so not cool.
Here we are, third trimester.
